...a husband, father of three, small business owner, Freedom Rock artist and Iowa House District 23 Representative. I will be your voice at the Capitol and represent our
common-sense small-town values.

Examining how state and local governments spend taxpayer dollars, supporting transparency, and addressing Iowa's tax burden.

Supporting educational opportunities, examining school funding decisions, and working on legislation addressing student safety.

Addressing infrastructure, connectivity, economic development, and the challenges facing Iowa's agricultural communities.

Working on policies affecting small businesses, workforce development, technology, and investment in Iowa.

Supporting veterans' services and preserving the stories of those who have served our country.

Working on broadband access, data privacy, and the opportunities and challenges presented by emerging technologies.
House District 23 includes all of Adair and Madison counties and portions of Dallas, Union, and Clarke counties.
Our district includes farming communities, small businesses, growing towns, and families whose livelihoods depend on a wide range of industries.
Each community has its own priorities, and I believe understanding those differences is an important part of representing the district.
Long before I entered the Legislature, I began painting the Freedom Rock® as a tribute to America's veterans.
That project has given me opportunities to travel, meet remarkable people, and hear stories of service and sacrifice.
It has also reinforced something I carry into public office: every community has a story, and every person deserves to be heard.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve the communities that helped shape my life.
